Clubs are a period given to students in the middle of the school day in which they have complete agency. Students choose a club to lead at the beginning of the year and then take the reins for themselves as to what activities they will do for that time.
Clubs are not an assessed class period so this gives students an opportunity to take part in an activity without the stress of being assessed, but also to take charge of leading a potentially larger project of their own volition.
Clubs created and developed by UIA students include art club, chess club, adventure sports club, and book club.
