🟦Position Objective
The Science Lab Technician will support the science department by providing assistance in laboratory preparation and equipment maintenance for science courses.
🟦Responsibilities
Lab Preparation:
- Set up laboratory equipment and materials for experiments according to teacher instructions.
- Prepare solutions, reagents, and specimens as needed for various experiments.
- Ensure that all necessary materials are readily available for each laboratory session.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory spaces, including storage areas for equipment and supplies.
- Clean and sterilize laboratory glassware and equipment after each use.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on laboratory equipment and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
Instructional Support:
- Demonstrate proper techniques and safety procedures to students when using laboratory equipment.
Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols during laboratory activities.
- Monitor students to prevent accidents and enforce safety guidelines.
- Handle and dispose of hazardous materials according to established safety procedures.
- Be prompt in responding to actual or potential hazards.
Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining inventory records of laboratory supplies and materials.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Receive and organize deliveries of laboratory equipment and materials.
🟦Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in science-related field preferred.
- Prior experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in an educational environment.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing priorities and demands.
- Commitment to promoting a safe and supportive learning environment for students.

- Working Hours: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Probation Period: 3 months
